Screen Duo applications reduce sunburn and heat stress in pineapple plants throughout the season, from planting to harvest and can significantly increase marketable yield and quality.
For pineapple, the most susceptible growth stages are:
- At planting
- Early plant development
- Flower induction
- Early fruit development
- Just prior to harvest

Use Directions
Reduce Sunburn: Apply Screen Duo before temperatures reach 30C. Apply 50 kg/ha in a water volume of approximately 1000 to 1250 L/ha, using a calibrated boom fitted with fan nozzles (for details, click here).
- Two or more applications may be required for complete coverage.
- If applying more than a single application, make alternate applications in opposite directions. Make additional applications of 25kg/ha as necessary to maintain an adequate film on the fruit and particularly after heavy rain.
Heat Stress: Apply Screen Duo at 50 kg/ha prior to the onset of high temperatures. Make additional applications of 25 kg/ha Screen™ Duo at 7-14 day intervals to maintain a film throughout the period of heat (for details, click here).
